Richard A. Shannon is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (Plan II Liberal Arts) and the University of Texas School of Law. He previously served as an Assistant Attorney General of Texas and Special Counsel to the Texas Commissioner of Insurance before focusing his practice on family law and conflict resolution for over 25 years. He founded and leads the Enlightened Family Justice Institute, a Texas nonprofit, and was elected to a three-year term on the State Bar of Texas Collaborative Law Section, where he chairs the Innovations Work Group.
