Meghan Behrens is a Santa Barbara County native and former Deputy Public Defender who spent over 11 years representing thousands of clients in Santa Barbara County, arguing more than 700 motions and trying numerous jury cases. She was a founding member of the Santa Barbara Restorative Court and the Santa Barbara Veteran's Treatment Court. She earned a political science degree from UC Santa Barbara and a J.D. from Santa Barbara College of Law, and passed the California Bar Exam in May 2004. She now maintains a private practice handling criminal defense and family law matters, including divorce, custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, and division of property and debts.
