Mark Springfield began his legal career in 1986, spending his first fifteen years litigating cases in state and federal courts before shifting his practice in 2001 to focus exclusively on collaborative divorce, making him the first attorney in North Carolina to do so. He is a Board Certified Specialist in Family Law and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and has trained other attorneys through Bar Association workshops and seminars on collaborative law. He holds a J.D. cum laude from the University of Georgia and a BA in Economics and French from Wake Forest University.
